The 12.5 gauge high tensile wire stretches 1.5-2%, but breaks at 1500-1600 lbs. Making it 3x stronger than the 12.5 gauge low carbon wire. The 12.5 gauge high tensile and low carbon wires are the same, with the same weight. The only difference is the carbon content, which causes them to break at different weights and stretch at different percentages. High-carbon Class III galvanized wire gives you strength and climate protection no matter where you are. Because it is designed with a high-tensile horizontal wire, minimal stretching on installation is required. This technology introduces a third wire to tie the continuous vertical and horizontal wires together. The Fixed Knot gives you maximum hold on the vertical and horizontal wires, locking them in place. The Versi-Tail feature allows easier slicing of the rolls and anchoring to corner posts by adding a 12” tail at the beginning of each roll and a 6” tail at each end.
